It’s been a long, cold winter and spring can’t come soon enough! Now it’s time to start preparing for the upcoming season of the Urbanna Farmers Market (UFM), located in Taber Park at the corner of Rappahannock Ave. and Bonner St. in Historic Downtown Urbanna. Taber Park is on the left as you go down Rappahannock Ave. from Virginia St. For those who have participated in past years, Rappahannock Ave. is the road which goes between EVB Bank and Cyndy’s Bynn. The Urbanna Farmers Market is held on the second Saturday of each month May through September. The dates for 2013 are May 11, June 8, July 13, August 10 and September 14. Markets run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Set-up begins at 7:00 a.m. and you are asked to see a UFM Committee Member for your space assignment before beginning your set-up. The fee for 2013 is $85.00 for 1 space for the entire season (5 months), if reserved in advance. Vendors who do not pay for the season in advance will be charged $20 per month, payable one week prior to the market you plan to attend to ensure your space.
